Job Summary- The Senior Business Intelligence and Data Visualization Manager will bridge system capabilities with the real time needs of the organization by providing design and technical development for data-driven insights, process automation, collaboration, and information solutions to improve efficiencies and partnerships in the daily business operations.  The intelligence and visualization tools provided will support the successful and timely execution of workflows throughout the organization benefiting both internal and external customers.

The Senior Business Systems Developer is responsible and accountable for:
  • Builds trust and fosters strong partnerships with internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Promotes the utilization of technical services to resolve business issues within the enterprise, agency, program area, or division
  • Provides technical support on complex business intelligence projects and performs as a Subject Matter Expert in business or functional area
  • Participate in strategic planning processes for APTURA’s Data Visualization/Business Intelligence team; Assists with developing technical standards and policies to meet the needs of customers, peers, and management
  • Participates in the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence steering committee as it relates to data governance and visualization best practices
  • Provides Data Visualization/Business Intelligence team with dashboard development
  • Specific and extensive knowledge of statistical software, open-source programming languages, and database querying
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop storyboards for dashboards to enhance business execution
  • Administers corporate business system applications

Essential Functions:
 
  • Works with leadership and departmental staff to create effective and efficient visualization tools
  • Utilization of data warehouse to extract and provide real time information
  • Leads Corporate business systems education and training programs
  • Provides customer support for business systems
  • Follows established methods and procedures
  • Responds to disruptions of production systems in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Effectively communicate both orally and in writing
  • Travels to APTURA offices to provide training and support services


Experience and Education:
 
  • Power BI, iDashboards, Tableau, Excel for data visualization
  • Demonstrated experience with ETL processing
  • Experience in leading workshops or training sessions
  • Advanced experience with ERP applications
  • Specific and extensive knowledge of statistical software, open-source programming languages, and database querying
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of the application of software engineering process tools
  • Advanced knowledge of project management theories and practices and the ability to apply that knowledge
  • Familiarity with using and interpreting data structures and relationships
  • Ability to understand how change management methodology aligns with and enhances project management and implementation
  • Needs Assessment and Strategy
    • Conduct needs assessments to find training gaps and areas for improvement
    • Collaborate with leadership to align training with corporate strategic goals
  • System Adoption and Support
    • Business Systems support: primary contact for business system support issues
    • Grow training utilization and effectiveness
    • Develop metrics to measure training success and track employee progress
    • Update business tools in support of training and education initiatives
    • Collaborate with IT, HR, and business managers to ensure seamless integration of education programs
